1 About Cotton Genomics and Genetics

Cotton Genomics and Genetics (1925-1947) is an open access, peer reviewed journal publishing high quality papers within all aspects of cotton seciences, focusing on the basic theories, novel techniques, and the applications related to genetics, structural & functional genomics, and comparative genomics as well as proteomics. It is published independently by the CropSci Publisher. And all papers published are licensed to all users under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License.

2 Aims and Scope

Cotton Genomics and Genetics is aiming to provide a forum for the dissemination of high quality papers within all aspects of cotton research.

Papers chosen for publication should be innovative research work in the field of cotton genomics and cotton genetics, including classical genetics analysis, structural and functional analysis of cotton genome, isolation and identification of growth/development trait-controlling genes in cotton at the genome-wide, cotton gene expression regulation and its functional analysis, the development of transgenic cotton, as well as cotton varietal improvement and its application in cotton production.

3 Content overview

Cotton Genomics and Genetics considers the following types of articles:

** Research article: Original reports of data from original researches, whose conclusions represent a substantial advance in understanding of an important problem and have immediate, far-reaching implications.

** Letters: brief reports of data from original research focused on an outstanding finding whose importance means that it will be of interest to scientists in other fields.

** Methodology articles: present a new experimental method, test or procedure. The method described may either be completely new, or may offer a better version of an existing method.

** Reviews: comprehensive, authoritative, descriptions of any subject within the scope of the journal.
