1 About Legume Genomics and Genetics

Legume Genomics and Genetics (ISSN 1925-1580) is an open access and peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research papers in the fields of genomics and genetics of legume plants. Legume Genomics and Genetics, proposed by Dr Da Luo, a legume geneticist from Sun Yat-Sen University in China, is run by the Editorial Team of CropSci Publisher at British Columbia of Canada.

 

Authors publishing with CropSci Publisher retain the copyright to their work and grant the license to the third party for unlimited use, reproduction or dissemination under the Creative Commons Attribution License.

 

2 Aims and Scopes

Legume Genomics and Genetics committed to publish grain/forage legume studies, as well as research on model legume plants such as Lotus japonicus and Medicago truncatula. The aims is to feature innovative research findings in the basic and applied fields of legume biology. Topics include (but are not limited to) genome structure, genome-scale analysis, comparative and functional genomics, proteomics and epigenomics, gene discovery and function, gene expression and evolution, molecular symbiosis, genomics-assisted breeding, abiotic and biotic stresses, as well as legume genetics from the molecular level to whole plant level.

 

All papers chosen for publishing should be original  research work. The primary criteria for publication are the interesting that need not only to meet specific interesting of scientists in the fields of legume genomics and genetics, but also to satisfy the populations of this journals who are engaging in the areas of general biology and applied genomics.

 

3 Publication mode

We are following the Open Access publishing mode. All papers published in this journal should be under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any media, provided the original work is properly cited (see CropSci Publisher Open Access Policy).

 

4 Criteria for publication

4.1 Similarity check

All submissions must be subjected to CrossRef's plagiarism check. Only those with no similarity compared in the CrossCheck database can be proceeded for peer review. Plagiarism check is solely for the purpose of submission's language arts and does not imply any plagiarism or forging existed.

 

4.2 Peer-review

Scientists in the world are invited to be as peer reviewers in this journal. All submission will be automatically transferred online to the reviewers by Manuscript Proceeding handling System in CropSci Publisher prior to CrossRef's plagiarism check.

5 Period of publication

Legume Genomics and Genetics promises to offer much faster publication schedules. Normally it takes two or four weeks depend on the speed of peer review. Using the recommended manuscript preparation formats will largely speed up the paper procedures and short the periods. Research articles will be published electronically in provisional PDF immediately upon acceptance. A fully structured web version and PDF download version will be uploaded within four weeks after acceptance.

 

6 Indexing and archiving

All articles published in Legume Genomics and Genetics will be deposited in CrossRef with the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) identity. For details please see Instructions for Submission.

 

7 Submission of manuscripts

Manuscripts should be submitted by CropSci Publisher online submission system. For details please see Instructions for authors.

 

8 Copyright

The authors permanently reserve the copyright for their publications and have granted the rights to any third party in advance for using, reproducing or disseminating the work under the terms of copyright and license of the CropSci Publisher’s constitutions and adopted law and regulations.

 

9 Article-processing charge (APC)

Article-processing charge for all CropSci Publisher journals is uniform. CropSci Publisher's standard article-processing charge is Canadian dollar 1200 CAD (US dollar $1200), which has no any tax fee included. For authors from the Canada, their article processing charges levied by CropSci Publisher contain 12% of HST tax fee, and this tax fee will be listed solely upon invoice. For authors other than from the Canada, their article processing charges are exclusive of any tax fees.

 

Payment for APC in this journal should be made out to Sophia Publishing Group Inc. Payment procedure will be informed upon submission acceptance.

 

Authors from low-income countries and areas can apply the discount for APC upon submission, and if the authors are qualified to be waived they don't necessarily pay the APC. This policy shall be decided by the board of directors of CropSci Publisher.

 

10 Preferred Citation

Articles in this journal should be recommended to follow regular citation rules. There is an exception for unique article series and DOI instead of the page number.
